Development

Your product is European before it reaches the line.

Development runs across continents. Lasts are produced in Spain and Italy depending on the product category, we work with a design studio in Spain that keeps us on European retail cadence, and materials are sourced from Europe, Asia and the Americas.

EU and UK compliance

European regulations, and what we supply against each.

Eight obligations reaching EU and UK footwear brands. Open any row to see what we can put behind it.

EUDR, deforestation 30 Dec 2026

Large and medium operators from 30 December 2026, micro and small enterprises from 30 June 2027. Geolocation and legality evidence on leather and rubber origin. What we hold: ISO 14001:2015 certified to October 2028, and named tannery and component partners we can put you in contact with directly. Send us your due diligence template and we will confirm, line by line, what we can supply today.

ESPR, destruction of unsold goods In force 19 Jul 2026

Applies to large companies now, medium-sized from 19 July 2030, micro and small exempt. What we hold: pod-based workflows built to run high-mix, lower-quantity programmes alongside core runs, so you can test a style without committing to a run you may later have to destroy.

PPWR, packaging and packaging waste In force 12 Aug 2026

Labelling obligations follow in 2028. What we hold: FSC-certified footwear boxes and export cartons, and standardised packing protocols we can document per shipment.

France, PFAS in footwear In force 1 Jan 2026

Decree 2025-1376 sets thresholds on PFAS in consumer footwear. What we hold: materials pre-certified against international standards and revalidated in our own labs before they enter production. Test scope is confirmed against your programme rather than claimed in advance.

Denmark, PFAS in footwear In force 1 Jul 2026

A total fluorine threshold on clothing and footwear. What we hold: the same material declaration route, prepared per bill of materials.

REACH, SVHC candidate list Updated twice a year

What we hold: in-house labs running flex, abrasion, bonding, slip resistance and hydrostatic tests, validated against US, EU and Asian requirements, which reduces how much re-testing lands on your side.

UK REACH and UKCA marking Separate from the EU regime

Since Brexit the UK runs its own chemical registration and conformity marking. What we hold: the same material declarations, prepared to whichever regime your shipment enters.

UK Modern Slavery Act, section 54 Annual statement

What we hold: ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety, Sedex membership, on-site training centres, an infirmary and doctor's room, and open access for your own social auditors on the same terms as our third-party inspectors.

We do not publish a compliance claim we cannot evidence. Send us the due diligence template your team actually uses and we will mark it up with what we can supply today and what we cannot.

Common concerns

Five things buyers ask about Indian manufacturing.

Every one of them is fair to ask. Here is what we can show you against each.

Indian product misses European fit and taste.

Lasts are produced in Spain and Italy depending on the product category, and we work with a design studio in Spain that keeps development on European retail cadence. Category-specific pods mean a women's fashion boot is not built to a work boot's tolerances.

The ESG file will not survive our review.

ISO 14001:2015 certified to October 2028. A 1.1 MW solar plant covering 75 percent of our energy needs and avoiding 1,452 tonnes of CO2 a year. Rainwater harvesting and a sewage treatment plant with water recycled back into operations. Around 40 percent of the campus under green cover. FSC-certified cartons on every shipment.

Everything will have to be re-tested in Europe.

Our in-house labs run flex, abrasion, bonding, slip resistance and hydrostatic tests, validated against US, EU and Asian requirements. Materials arrive pre-certified against international standards and are revalidated here before they enter production.

Communication runs on a six-hour lag.

India and central Europe share most of a working day, not a window at the edge of one. Our international sales lead covers Europe directly, so you are not routed through a general enquiry desk, and sample feedback and approvals get answered the same day.

Smaller programmes get deprioritised behind the big ones.

Pod-based workflows are built to run high-mix, lower-quantity fashion programmes alongside large core runs, which is the reason the pods exist. Capacity is rarely the constraint: our development building turns out more than 250 samples a day.

Shipping and customs

How your order gets from Kanpur to your distribution centre.

Sea

Mundra

Containerised export to Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp and Felixstowe.

Sea

Nhava Sheva

The shorter route to Valencia and Algeciras, and a second gateway, so a congested port is a reroute rather than a delay.

Air

IGI Delhi

Airfreight when a season demands it. Kanpur has direct road access to all three.

Customs

AEO Tier 2

Our Authorised Economic Operator status lets us seal containers with customs compliance on site, which shortens lead time out of India. It is granted by Indian Customs under the WCO SAFE Framework. India and the European Union have not concluded mutual recognition of AEO status, so we do not present it as an EU authorisation.

In the box

Packing discipline

FSC-certified cartons, standardised packing protocols, and labelling and barcoding built to your specification at the line.

On the container

High-security seals

Tamper-proof seal containers on every shipment, audited on site against the C-TPAT minimum security criteria.

Working together

How we work with your team day to day.

Hours

A shared working day

India and central Europe overlap for most of a working day. Sample feedback, approvals and production questions get answered the same day rather than the next one.

Contact

European coverage

Our international sales lead covers Europe directly, so a development question does not start life in a general enquiry inbox.

Audits

Bring your own auditors

Buyer-appointed inspection agencies and social auditors work inside our process on the same access as the third-party inspectors already there.

In development

Pulse, our order visibility platform.

We are building Pulse so that the status of your order is something you can look at rather than ask for. It is in development now, and we will bring partners onto it as it goes live.

Illustrative. Pulse is in development.

See it

Track it

Where it has reached

What is in production, what is in transit, what is on time and what is running late.

Factory tour

Walk the floor from where you are.

A 360 degree walkthrough of the factory. No form, no login, no sales call first.

Next step

Tell us what you are building.

Send us the specification and you will get real numbers rather than a range. You will hear from a person, not an autoresponder, within one business day.

We do not publish minimum order quantities or lead times, because both move with construction, materials, colourways and season. Send the brief and you will get a real figure.

Questions

The ones that come up first.

Is your AEO status recognised in the EU?

No, and any supplier telling you otherwise has it wrong. AEO Tier 2 is granted by Indian Customs under the WCO SAFE Framework. It lets us seal containers with customs compliance on site and shortens clearance out of India. India and the European Union have not concluded mutual recognition of AEO status. We state it plainly because your compliance team will check.

Are you Sedex audited?

We are a Sedex member. Ask us for the current audit position and we will send you the documentation we hold rather than a badge.

Are you ready for EUDR?

EUDR applies to large and medium operators from 30 December 2026 and requires geolocation and legality evidence on leather and rubber origin. Send us your due diligence template and we will mark it up, line by line, with what we can supply today and what we cannot. We would rather tell you now than at the audit.

Where are the lasts made?

In Spain and Italy, depending on the product category. We also work with a design studio in Spain, which keeps development aligned to European retail cadence.

Where do your materials come from?

Our sourcing network runs across Europe for heritage leathers and premium components, Asia for scale, and the Americas for technical materials. Component partners include ISA, JBS, Wilhelm Textile, Arneplant, Coats, YKK, Merkins, Vanhorn and Texon. Every input is revalidated in our own labs before it enters production.

What quality process do you run?

An eight-step quality control inspection before anything ships: raw material, cutting, upper, lasting, sole, final inspection, an acceptable quality level test, and third-party inspection. External inspectors open and test 5 to 6 percent of outgoing cartons. Our in-house labs run flex, abrasion, bonding, slip resistance and hydrostatic tests, validated against US, EU and Asian requirements.

Can we run our own social or environmental audit?

Yes. Buyer-appointed auditors work on the same access as the third-party inspectors already inside our process.

What is your minimum order quantity?

It moves with construction, materials and the number of colourways, so we quote against your brief. Pod-based workflows are built to run high-mix, lower-quantity programmes alongside core runs.

What sustainable materials can you run?

Where the brief allows: mushroom, tomato and banana leathers, bamboo linings, wool, cork soles, and bio-PU and recycled rubber soles. These are options rather than standing lines, so confirm availability and lead time against your specification.

Which European ports do you ship to?

Sea freight from Mundra and Nhava Sheva into Rotterdam, Hamburg, Antwerp, Valencia, Algeciras and Felixstowe. Airfreight through Indira Gandhi International in Delhi.

Does the UK work differently?

Yes. UK REACH, UKCA marking and the Modern Slavery Act section 54 statement run separately from the EU regime. We prepare material declarations to whichever regime your shipment enters.
