Where the welt goes on
- Cutting. Dieless cutting, auto marking, punching, vamp checking.
- Preparation. UV auto marking, 3D crimping, skiving.
- Closing. Toe molding, semi-blocking, belt fusing, auto stitching.
- Lasting. Toe lasting, welt pressing, rolling, welt trimming, counter molding, welt stitching.

Western boots, across men's, women's and youth
Goodyear welt is one of the constructions we run in Western, alongside Blake Stitch, waterproof and cemented builds. Named ranges include the Cowboy Collection and the Campera Collection.
Leathers and components
Full-grain, corrected grain, napa, nubuck and suede. Woven and knitted textiles and performance synthetics. Structural components including elastomers, foam systems, counters and toe-puffs.

Multi-season programmes shipped into seven markets, on three gateways, cleared as a trusted trader.
Every shipment leaves in FSC-certified cartons, with labelling and barcoding aligned to your requirements, standardised packing protocols and high-security tamper-proof seals. AEO is granted by Indian Customs under the WCO SAFE Framework; India and the EU have not concluded mutual recognition, so we do not present it as an EU authorisation.

What is a Goodyear welt?
The upper is stitched to a welt, and the welt is attached to the sole through a ribbed strip. It is the hallmark of fine shoemaking because it produces strength, flexibility and longevity that a bonded sole cannot match.
How much welted capacity does AFPL have?
Goodyear welted construction runs permanently, with its own lines, machinery and trained hands rather than being set up per order. Across all constructions AFPL produces more than 11,000 pairs a day, or 3.5 million a year, from 523,700 sq ft across three units and more than 3,000 people.
Does AFPL build women's and youth Western?
Yes. Western boots run across men's, women's and youth. Named ranges include the Cowboy Collection and the Campera Collection.
How is quality checked?
Eight inspection stages on every pair: raw material with a two-step evaluation including fire testing, then cutting, upper, lasting, sole and final inspection, an Acceptable Quality Level test on randomised samples, and third-party inspection in which external inspectors open and test 5 to 6% of outgoing cartons. In-house labs run flex, abrasion, bonding, slip resistance and hydrostatic tests against US, EU and Asian requirements.
Which certifications does AFPL hold?
ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, issued by KVQA Certification Services and valid to 12 October 2028. AEO Tier 2 from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, valid to 25 June 2028. Sedex membership. On C-TPAT, AFPL holds an independent audit against the CBP minimum security criteria carried out by URS Certification Limited.
Which markets do you ship to, and from where?
The USA, Australia, Spain, Germany, France, South Korea and Chile. Sea freight through Mundra and Nhava Sheva, air through Delhi's IGI Airport. AEO status lets containers be sealed with customs compliance on site, which shortens the lead time.
How do you protect our designs?
Role-based access for BOMs and files, controlled sample-room permissions and monitored prototype dispatch, with pods compartmentalising styles. Site-wide, RFID and biometric access control, more than 480 AI-powered cameras, over 2,500 lockers, and firewalls, encryption and intrusion detection.
